Feles tells the story of a shady King who sends a royal expedition to find wealth off-world, but what is he really up to?Feles starts with the King of Feles giving our hero Miri a mission to head to a strange planet to find a new source of wealth for the kingdom. Unfortunately for Miri, this royal mission may not be what it seems, people are suspicious of the new King, but as a faithful royal gaurd, Miri takes on the quest.

I always want to draw comics about space and space exploration and what better way than having space exploring cats.
Feles started with a sketchbook drawing of a cat in the uniform that the main character wears in the comic and I immediately knew that I wanted to do more with the design. I was influenced by an art history course I was taking at the time which was covering ancient egyptian art, and a vauge idea of what the television show Ancient Aliens is about, which resulted in space exploring desert cats. I wanted there to be some element of intrigue and distrust so the inscruitable plans of the corrupt king of Feles were the start of the story.
This was the second comic I drew purely in pencil, I like how the texture adds character to the panels which seemed appropriate for the desert setting of the comic. I had previously worked in pencil for a comic in Citric Comics Collection 1 and wanted to try it again as a way to have extra texture.
